Google Project 10 100 Submission

Project 10 100 Unveiled Google, always the innovator, has a new concept on the idea of giving back to the community.

Their Project 10 100 is designed to give you and everyone the opportunity to submit an idea that you think might benefit the world in some way. Now I know what you are thinking, and no you don't have to save the world. Think of something that you have always wanted to tell people about that might do some good, and submit it! Think about it. How many times are you given a platform from which to voice your opinion on what can be done about something, and all that it costs you is a little bit of time and a form submission. You may spend more time watching television or viewing videos on YouTube, than you would by taking a minute to think of, or remember, that last great idea you had about "saving the world."

I mean, I spend every day on my blog talking about bilingual internet marketing, but as soon as I saw Project 10 100, I immediately thought of something I have always wanted to tell people about but never could, because it would only be to a roomful of friends, etc. My submission talks about an idea I have on paying of the national debt. I wrote about it on my blog to get the word out about it, but I don't think I could get the word out about it at anywhere near the level that Project 10 100 could. So go ahead, submit an idea. They may just like it.

Also, there is no limit to the number of submissions that you can make. As long as you make the submission on something that deals with or causes any of the following:

Community:
How can we help connect people, build communities and protect unique cultures?
Opportunity: How can we help people better provide for themselves and their families?
Energy: How can we help move the world toward safe, clean, inexpensive energy?
Environment: How can we help promote a cleaner and more sustainable global ecosystem?
Health: How can we help individuals lead longer, healthier lives?
Education: How can we help more people get more access to better education?
Shelter: How can we help ensure that everyone has a safe place to live?
Everything else: Sometimes the best ideas don't fit into any category at all.
With Google's ability to distribute information instantaneously throughout the world, it's a good place to start a concept like Project 10 100.

So without further delay, here is an excerpt on the submission I made.

The Submission Idea: To establish a citizen fund to payoff the national debt.

The Problem: The national debt is an ongoing problem that government doesn't seem to get a handle on. A few years back, when they were just going to "balance the budget" (which meant that all they were doing was spending as much as they took in) they were making a BIG deal about it as if that was a solution. Any small chance at political gain is a sign of uproar from the politicians, but here, ten years later, its still not a dime lower and in fact its much higher.
The Solution: A citizen fund established at Google in Escrow to payoff the debt is something that can help this country regain a little bit of its sovereignty and economic strength. An eliminated national debt can cure a lot of the ills in the country, beginning with our social programs. If so much of our monies weren't used to pay down interest payments, some of those dollars could be invested on our infrastructure and education systems. It really is up to the citizens (the people) to wrestle with the problem and eliminate it. Government doesn't seem to have its nails in it right...

The Delivery: Because Google has the technological superiority in being able to deploy an electronic contribution system, it can also create a public service announcement that keeps people reminded of its existence. Presently, there is a little BOX on your federal tax returns that says, "send xdollars to paydown the debt." NO ONE reads that, and when they do, its once a year. If Barack was able to raise $5 here and $10 there and put together millions, this fund can do the same if not more...

The Results: Google could create a measure and progress tool that tells everyone how much has been raised and in what timeline it will be paid off...
The Involvement: Indicators and visual aids help people to see goals clearly... as they see there contributions increasing, they will see the timeline of the pay off decreasing...

Well, that is my two cents in the matter. Maybe someone can think of a better idea. I just hope someone doesn't send in a Project 1 request, where they say "forget everybody, just help me!"

5 Tips to Pick the Best Accounting Software For Personal Use

5 Tips to Pick the Best Accounting Software For Personal Use By Al Bullington

The best accounting software for personal use should be easy to learn and use and should have the features you need to get the job done. Some of what's available may be very disappointing though. On the other hand, powerful software may work for you at no cost at all. Here are 5 tips to get the right package for your individual needs

. 1. Watch it. Some software is no more than online banking. Some so-called financial software offers little more that you get with your bank's online features. That is especially frustrating if you are required to do a lot of work just to download the information to the software. Don't even mention having to manually enter a lot of data for the software to use. Run from that kind of software, which does exist.

2. Do you mostly need budget help? See, what works for many people is simple software that mostly helps with building and tracking for a budget. For example, "You Need A Budget Pro" software is mostly about budgeting and not really accounting. But users love it for the forum and user support to get control of spending and get out of debt. That may serve your needs but than again you may still need some accounting help even if you get a budget software package.

3. If you need accounting, make sure you get enough software power. Some financial software offers only very limited functions. For example, some basic software won't let you track investments or even mortgage payments for that matter. Quicken Starter Edition is of this type. So make sure you get the version that specifies it has the functions you need. You want software that's as simple as possible but not too simple.

 4. Online has these advantages. Online software offers several advantages. With the right system you can look at all your financial accounts in one place. That means you can see all your bank accounts, all your credit cards, all investment accounts, all your loan payments in one spot. Then you can access the information from anywhere, even from mobile devices since you are in no way tied to just one computer as you are with software that's loaded to your computer itself.

 5. Free may work too. That is correct. The most popular online personal financial software is actually free to use. That's not some crippled version either. It's the best full features software with budget capability and the potential to handle all your accounts at one spot with fully automatic constant updates. What's the catch? There really isn't one. You just have to see some ads which is the way the software makes money. But to avoid the cost, just don't buy. The best accounting software does much more than just what online banking does. It helps you see all your financial transactions and balances in one spot as well as helping you with budgeting and control of spending and debt. Some of the most powerful software works online and the best part is the cost. In some cases it's free and learning to use it is relatively easy as well.
